8.1 iLAP Section Arrangement

As mentioned, the LDS supports the practical implementation of your design by allowing you to assign the predefined learning tasks within each Curriculum Component (CC) to create the lesson plan. This step bridges the gap between your ideal CC Sequence and the realities of classroom instruction, enabling you to revise and adapt your plans to ensure they are both feasible and effective in practice. In this section, you will learn how to use the lesson builder to assign the predefined learning tasks from each Curriculum Component (CC) to individual lessons.

If you are subscribed to our iLAP platform, the structure you confirm in this section will be used to convert your lesson plan into an online course on iLAP. (Click here to subscribe!)

Revising and Rearranging a Task

Below is a sample overrun lesson. We will need to revise the task details or move the task to a different stage or lesson.

  • Only tasks assigned as in-class activities are counted toward the "Designed In-Lesson Time". If the total time for in-class activities exceeds the 35-minute limit set in the Course Information section at the beginning, you will see "80/35 min" displayed in red as a reminder, along with a image.pngbutton next to the In-Class Session.

2.  Rearranging a Task

  • To address the lesson overrun issue, there are several ways to resolve this. First, you can reduce the duration of each task. However, this may not fully solve the problem. Instead, consider breaking tasks into subtasks that can be completed before or after the lesson. You can return to the CC section in LDS to revise the task design and move tasks to another stage or even to a different lesson.
  • Please refer to the introduction below for instructions on how to move a task in the lesson builder.

  • Tasks can be moved to a specific stage in the targeted lesson by clicking either an empty block ("Pre-class", "In-Class", or "After-class") or an existing task name.

*Please repeat the mentioned steps to complete the lesson plan.
